Late 70s. A totalitarian regime has been established in one of the Mediterranean countries. Former military pilot Antonio works as a taxi driver and is not going to get involved in politics, but his beloved Maria is an active member of the underground. Antonio is drawn into the confrontation. And when everyone is arrested, the underground people decide that it was he who betrayed them...
